Today an update to the Xbox 360 system was released, as mentioned on Major Nelson’s blog.
The new update is mandatory, and you will be asked to download it when you next log on to Xbox Live. Some people have been signed out when the update went live to make sure they updated, although that shouldn’t be a problem for most.
He goes on to list some of the issues that the update fixes, which include:
- Displays the correct playlist name when a playlist is launched from SmartGlass to the Xbox 360
- Xbox Video closed-captioning error
- Xbox Music error some people had
If these are the only bugs that have been fixed, then it seems to be a bit of a waste, since there are most probably other more important issues.
