In a recent interview with G4TV, Valve revealed that the ever-popular Saxxy Awards is coming around again this Fall. The entries this year will be in 5 catagories: Best Action, Best Drama, Best Comedy, Best Original Universe and Best Overall. Also, this year, all submissions will be entered via Source Filmmaker, instead of the replay tool from last year.
The contest starts on November 1st and ends on the 15th. Then, which the community will vote on which entry is the best in each category until there is only one left; this lucky soul will win the coveted Saxxy award. All winners will receive an exclusive ‘Saxxy Award’ weapon for their Team Fortress 2 characters to use, and the winner for Best Overall will be flown out to Valve HQ, there to have a film-making session with Valve’s Source team and have their work presented at the VGA preshow in December.
