Steam Updating Community

Valve has been in the works on changing the Community tab in Steam. So far, they have shown off a new feature called Game Hubs:

“Game Hubs are collections of game-centric discussions, workshop items, screenshots, videos, and news. It’s both community created and official content, as rated by you, Steam users.”

The update will allow players to find content for the games they play in one place. Videos, screenshots, community created items and even a discussion forum-like section to chat about the specific games. It seems Valve will be showing off a new feature for Steam every day this week. It looks as though the Community section is becoming a social network for gamers…without all the duckface pictures, of course.

I have been gamer since I first laid eyes on the NES and Sega Genesis. I consider myself a very passionate gamer with a life of experience playing everything from RTS to FPS. I play mainly PC games, but am a fan of playing consoles for the exclusives. Typically the Xbox 360. ~Twitter~
