Welcome, DayZ, to the list of games that started as a mod, and evolved into their own game. That’s right, today a Tumblr, website, and Twitter were created for the official DayZ development team. The game will follow in Minecraft’s footsteps, becoming available for purchase in the Alpha stage at a discounted price. The players will be able to provide direct feedback while the game is still in development.
The game will be published by Bohemia Interactive, the creators of ARMA 2 – the game in which DayZ was originally created.
With the support of the developers of the engine itself, I have faith that it will be much better than the ARMA 2 mod we already know and love.
