Black Mesa Source LIVES

The mod Black Mesa: Source – in development since 2004 – finally has gameplay footage. The project, which now has around 40 people actively working on it, aims to remake Half Life One in its entirety, with all the story and environments intact, but with all the added features that Orange Box’s Source engine allows. It will not just be a remake with shinier graphics and some weapon changes; it will have support for multicore CPUs, better particle effects, lighting and facial animations, advanced AI and more.

What do you think about this? Does it seem like it is worth the years of waiting? This is pre-release footage, so keep in mind that this is more than likely not representative of what you will see when it is released for download.

I have been gamer since I first laid eyes on the NES and Sega Genesis. I consider myself a very passionate gamer with a life of experience playing everything from RTS to FPS. I play mainly PC games, but am a fan of playing consoles for the exclusives. Typically the Xbox 360. ~Twitter~
