3DS XL, Super Smash Bros. WiiU and more announced at Nintendo Direct

Nintendo president Satoru Iwata delivered a press conference last night talking about several up-and-coming things from Nintendo. Below is the archived footage from their live stream. Alongside several new games, a brand new 3DS was announced. A list of topics is below along with a screenshot of the new 3DS compared to the old one

- 3DS LL is the 3DS XL in North America
- Coming in Red and Blue, bundled with 4GB SD card
- Due out in NA for $199 on Aug. 19th
- Nintendo 3DSXL will launch in Europe from July 28th in Blue, Red or Silver.

- eShop demo of Kingdom Hearts: Dream Drop Distance available RIGHT NOW in North America
- Professor Layton and the Miracle Mask out in November in North America
- Smash Bros. team has been working on the games since Kid Icarus: Uprising wrapped
- Fire Emblem DLC coming to NA as well
- Fire Emblem not hitting 3DS in North America until next year
- New Super Mario Bros. 2 Coin Rush DLC hitting North America as well, post game launch
- Super Mario Land getting price cut starting tomorrow for a week
- Legend of Zelda, Kirby’s Pinball Land, WarioLand: Super Mario Land 3 hitting 3DS VC soon (North America)
- July 2nd photoshowcase.nintendo.com launches in North America for 3D photos, vote and share via social media.
- Pokemon Black/White 2 hitting NA this Fall
