Epic has revealed Unreal Engine 4 with stunning screenshots that show what will hopefully be possible with the next generation of consoles. The engine is apparently running on a single NVIDIA GeForce GTX 680, so the next-gen consoles will need to match this in order to make use of this engine. This may even force Microsoft and Sony to rethink the amount of power they’re putting into their next consoles.
Wired has managed to get the first batch of screenshots of this amazing engine, which you can see below. According to Wired, the engine itself introduces dynamic lighting, which behaves in response to its own inherent properties rather than programmed effects.
With E3 right around the corner, I expect Epic will have even more to say about Unreal Engine 4 very soon.
