XSplit Broadcaster: What To Expect

XSplit Broadcaster, developed by Splitmedialabs, was officially released on April 12th and has quickly become one of the most popular broadcasting programs to use on Twitch.TV. With the ability to setup multiple scenes, channels, sources and encode higher quality videos with much less bandwidth, the developers plan to make XSplit the must-have software for video game casting enthusiasts. Based on my own experiences with this software, they are definitely on the right track.

Although there are much more updates to come in the future, XSplit Version 1.1 is already set to be released on May 2012. The three planned features to be included are Skype Video Capture, Remote Desktop Presenter & LAN Broadcast, among many fixes.

  • Skype Video Capture: Add Skype video to your casts without having to use screen region!
  • Remote Desktop Presenter: Add a live screen view of any desktop in your internal network!
  • LAN Broadcast: Broadcast directly to your internal network and allow users to connect directly via LAN!

These features will only be available to current Premium license owners, which I encourage all users to upgrade to if they plan to broadcast regularly and not miss out on amazing extras. Since this is only the beginning, we can only hope to see what Splitmedialabs has planned for the future!
