Dan Porter, CEO of Omgpop, recently came out on Twitter bashing Shay Pierce, the lone member of Omgpop who refused to be bought by Zynga. “The one Omgpop employee who turned down joining Zynga was the weakest one on the whole team… Selfish people make bad games. Good riddance!” Porter said in his now deleted tweet.
Many people tweeted back saying he was right and wrong in his statements. One of the more popular responses was from Minecraft creator Markus “Notch” Persson to which he tweeted to Porter “You are an insane idiot” Since then Porter has apologized for his brash words. “I’m sorry for what I said last night. No excuses” he tweeted recently.
