This weekend, the much anticipated MMO, from ArenaNet and NCsoft, Guild Wars 2 will be holding a public Beta weekend event. Starting from Friday,April 27, to Sunday, April 29, players will be able to venture into the world of Tyria to get their first taste of what Guild Wars 2 has to offer. Anyone who has pre-purchased any edition of Guild Wars 2 will be able to participate in this and any other beta events in the future. Customers will need to register their serial code on the official site and will receive an e-mail with instructions on where to download the client and how to participate in the beta.
Some of the features that players be able to do include:
- Fully personalize their character as either a Charr, Nord or Human, as well as having all eight professions available
- Take part in World vrs World, which pitches three servers against each other in order to capture and defend supply camps and castles
- Take part in structured pvp events that are similar to those in other MMO’s
- An all new metropolis called Lion’s Arch will also be accessible to beta players
This is also a public event, which means people who take part in the beta will also be able to share their experiences freely, as they are not bound by a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA), which was enforced on previous beta events. Rest assured, GDi News will be bringing you as much coverage from the beta weekend event.
